Are you a student and would like to put your theoretical knowledge to good use? In our institute we offer you the opportunity to learn our on the job working method. From day 1 you will be a full-fledged member of our team and collaborate on interesting projects. This will allow you to gain valuable experience. Depending on your education you will work in the business area of arotop market research with a focus on market research and sensor technology or in the arotop analytical research in our accredited laboratory.
Interns are always welcome! Apply for one of two specialist areas.
We offer food chemistry students a five- or six-months internship in the context of training for the third test section to become a registered food chemist (m/w/d). We are a recognised training establishment pursuant to § 2 Par. 5 No. 4 of the Regulation on the training and testing of registered chemists (APOLMChem).
PRECONDITIONS
- Science studies already started or
- Completed studies in food chemistry (only for training for the third test section to become a registered food chemist (m/w/d)
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:
- Working on current market research studies
- Analytical work in a chemical and/or microbiological laboratory
- Insight into modern laboratory information management systems
SITE
The location
Our institute is located in the industrial area of the Mainz district of Hechtsheim directly on the BAB A60. Herchtsheim is the largest district by area in the regional capital of Mainz. The
industrial area is the biggest in the city with excellent links to the public transport network. From the main train station take bus line 9 or 67 to the Bereitschaftspolizei stop. From there to our office is only a five minutes walk. From the main train station take routes 50 or 53 to the Birkenstrasse stop. It then takes you around 10 to 15 minutes on foot.
The city of Mainz
In Mainz you will live and work in one of the most beautiful cities in Germany. The regional capital of the Rhineland Palatinate combines a thousand-year old culture and a pulsating zest for life – and not only because it has been nominated Germany’s wine capital. The historic buildings, monuments and museums in Mainz provide thrilling insights into its 2,000-year-old past. Roman temples, aristocrat mansions, the cathedral and Marc Chagall’s blue window are only some of the tourist highlights. The Mainz carnival is a quite special highlight in the year – anyone who lives here can hardly avoid joining in the celebrations.
Education and family
Mainz has several schools and kindergartens which apply the most varied pedagogical concepts. So your child will be spoilt for choice as far as schools are concerned. Mainz also scores across the board in academics. The Johannes Gutenberg University, the music school and European Management School (EMS) are only two examples. Sports and leisure opportunities go from boulder yoga to laser tag, cinema and theatre – with something new every day. If you’re a foodie, you can also get your money’s worth. Gourmet pleasure is guaranteed.
Transport links
Its great transport links provide excellent connections to Mainz and also offers you as a commuter many opportunities to get to your workplace stress-free. The motorway ring offers quick access to traffic channels in the Rhine Main area. Buses and trams can be reached on foot from the arotop premises.
